Boudhanath area is densely inhabited by Tibetan refugees and carries the name as Little Tibet. Out side Kathmandu you will enjoy in Pokhara, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Lumbini, Chitwan, Gorkha, Daman, Tansen and many more beautiful places. Getting in to Nepal
By Road: There are several entry points by land route mainly from Nepal / Indian borders: a) Kakarvita, b) Birgunj c) Bhairahawa d) Nepalganj e) Dhangadhi f) Mahendranagar Scheduled public bus as well as tourist buses run to and from Kathmandu.There is entry point from Tibet Boarder to Nepal if you are traveling through Tibet (China).

The hill, mid-hills and particularly the Kathmandu valleys are pleasant with warm summers and cool winters. Temperature ranges between maximum of 37 and minimum of 6 degree Celsius in the plains, 28 and 2 degree Celsius in the Kathmandu valley and 16 and 6 degree Celsius in the mountains.
Himalayan Region: The altitude of this region ranges between 4877 meters and 8848 meters with the snow line running around 48848 meters. It includes 8 of the existing 14 summits in the world which exceed an altitude of 8000 meters.
